 Evolution of the Cyborg book

Evolution of the Cyborg

Evolution of the Cyborg, with its meandering timelines interspersed with science fact and fiction, is finished and published.

I take the reader on a journey of the health and climate issues humans face—including food shortages and pandemics—leading to the necessity of bionic modifications.  It’s a world we are creating today.  Read to learn if the human race survived the Evolution of the Cyborg

Find it here.

Peek into the first two paragraphs and follow along as our protagonist researches a forbidden subject: Humans.

“Humans were biologically inefficient beings compared to most known organisms of Earth.  Specifically, they were exceptionally slow to evolve as a swiftly changing environment overtook them.  Their organs, especially the brain, required a significant amount of nutrients for proper functionality.  With a limited food supply caused by ozone depletion, pollutants, and climate change...”

“Emiko, this database is irrelevant.  Your reasoning?” Since all “brains” are connected in this office, lying is extremely difficult for a cyborg.   So, Emiko explains as diplomatically as possible for one whose specific task is not examining human extinction.   “Director 12, you are correct.  I just thought.”  “Thought?  Independent thinking is irrelevant.  This entire floor is devoted to one task and only that task.”

Excerpt of War in Atlantis

In the following, scene for this book, Sapphire, our female protagonist, is weary after many days of no sleep.  Consequently, she stu...

Sapphire & the Atlantians

Sapphire & The Atlantians The Sapphire Series of Novels This second edition includes eleven new pages and is completely rewritten.  In the colorful heart of Atlantia on the island of Atlantis lives a scrawny teenage girl unaware that she will soon become a hero.   For now, Sapphire lives a secluded life in The Elders’ Compound with old, boring seers.    Her only respite is visiting her grandmother in the forests of Iolite twice a year and when Jasper, her only friend, visits the compound.   For the most part, these last fifteen years have been one boring lesson after another learning the mysteries of science, math, history and the ways of humans.   Little does she know of the gifts she will soon receive for her upcoming sixteenth birthday nor the battle she will fight to save the human world.
